1. Agreement

By using Windup & Wonder at https://windupandwonder.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. Windup & Wonder is published by Type 5 Marketing LLC.

2. What this site is

Windup & Wonder is an independent publisher of toy buying guides. Everything here is editorial opinion and compiled public information, offered for general informational purposes. It is not professional advice of any kind — not medical, not child development, not safety certification.

We do not sell products. We are not a retailer, a manufacturer or an agent of either. Every purchase you make is a contract between you and the retailer, on the retailer’s terms.

3. Safety — read this one

The manufacturer’s own instructions, warnings and age grade always take precedence over anything on this site. We publish manufacturers’ published age grades and we never recommend a toy below the age its maker set, but the packaging and instructions in your hands are the authority, and specifications change without notice.

Age grades are not developmental predictions. They are safety and suitability judgments made by the manufacturer, and they exist mainly because of choking risk: a toy graded for children over three may contain parts a younger child can choke on. No page on this site knows anything about a specific child — their size, their mouthing behavior, whether there is a younger sibling in the house who will get to it first. You do. Judge accordingly, and supervise young children with new toys.

Before buying, and particularly before accepting a secondhand or hand-me-down toy, it is worth checking the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall database. We are not a recall notification service and cannot tell you a product has been recalled since we wrote about it.

4. Accuracy and no warranty

We work hard to be accurate: age grades, battery requirements and other specifications are read from manufacturers’ own listings rather than reconstructed, and prices are pulled live and expire rather than going stale. Even so, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Specifically, we do not warrant that any price shown is the price you will pay, that a product is in stock or still sold, that a specification has not changed since we read it, or that a toy will suit a particular child. Prices and availability shown are a reading taken on a stated date; the retailer’s price at checkout governs.

5. Affiliate relationships

We earn commission on qualifying purchases made through links on this site, at no additional cost to you. This is disclosed on every commercial page and in full on the affiliate disclosure page. The rules we hold ourselves to about how that affects recommendations are on the editorial policy page.

6. Third-party sites

Links to retailers and other sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their prices, their availability, their privacy practices or your dealings with them. Product names, brands and images belong to their respective owners, and their appearance here is not an endorsement of this site by them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Type 5 Marketing LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or from any purchase made through it, including any loss arising from reliance on information published here. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Your use of the site

You agree not to:

• scrape, mirror or bulk-copy the site’s content for republication;
• interfere with the site’s operation or attempt to gain unauthorized access;
• use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages, or to submit anything unlawful.

Quoting a sentence or two with a link back is welcome and needs no permission. Wholesale republication does.

9. Intellectual property

The written content, structure, scoring system and design of this site are the property of Type 5 Marketing LLC. Product photographs are served by the retailer and belong to the retailer or the manufacturer.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
